Soccer fields, outdoor basketball court, volleyball court, picnic areas, and playgrounds. Lake Lavon (38,300 acres of water) is near with approximately 4 million visitors each year. Camping and picnic facilities in addition to an off-road vehicle area, hiking and equestrian trails are at this lake.

The shelter is on Hensley Ln, just off Sanden Rd. Sanden Rd connects Hwy 78 and FM 544 at the west end of Wylie.

Hours of Operation
We are open Monday through Saturday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm for adoptions. We are closed daily from 12:00-1:30. We are closed Sundays.

The City of Wylie is pleased to welcome Dr. William Wood DVM, North Texas Mobile Veterinary Clinic, as he provides our LOW COST VACCINATION CLINIC held the first Friday of each month. Clinic hours 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Yearly rabies vaccination costs only $12. Yearly combo (rabies and 6 in 1) are $38 for puppies and dogs, $28 for kittens and cats. Other low cost well care (deworming, heartworm test, and heartworm/flea prevention) available at substantial savings. Protect your pet, protect your family!
