Recreation: Both land and water offer recreation for the city of Wylie There are five city parks that provide over 112 acres of enjoyment. Soccer fields, outdoor basketball court, volleyball court, picnic areas, and playgrounds. Lake Lavon (38,300 acres of water) is near with approximately 4 million visitors each year. Camping and picnic facilities in addition to an off-road vehicle area, hiking and equestrian trails are at this lake.
